Science Fair Consulting
I came from a severely underfunded high-school research program, and directly worked to grow the science fair at my school. Part of the struggle I faced was a lack of knowledge and guidance about research. I didn't know how to write a paper, what the requirements for posters were, or how write a research proposal.
Through my consulting programs, I aim to be that "go-to" person for my students. Whether it be through the project development phase or creating science-fair materials, my programs are designed to support student success.
My students and their projects have been ISEF finalists, Broadcom MASTERS nominees, STS scholars, JSHS winners, and been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals.
In my science research journey, I have also been fortunate to win multiple accolades/awards. I was a STS and ISEF Finalist, won first place at JSHS, and have been published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. I am also a Coke Scholar, Taco Bell Live Mas Scholar, and received the NCWIT Collegiate Award.
My consulting process starts off with a quick $15 consultation where we can meet to discuss your previous experiences, science fair goals, and create a strong plan moving forward!

Science Fair Speech Prep
-
This review involves the student sending us a video of their science fair presentation and then we take notes about the strengths and weaknesses of the speech. This is a one-time review option where we review the speech once. We want this speech to be as succinct and clear as possible while also demonstrating the depth of knowledge that the student has gained through the project.
-
This is a live 60 minute review where we work with the student in real time to improve their speech.
This means that the student will be able to reinforce any changes to their speech with us and they will be able to ask any questions possible as well. If this speech is being prepped for a specific science competition, we can develop the speech to follow the format necessary.
-
This is a live 60 minute session where we practice the entire judging experience with the student. The student will present their speech and then we will question their project. We will make comments about the speech and the Q&A so that they can improve their abilities in both of these categories for science fair judging. The comments will then be discussed live with the student and as time allows, we will practice troublesome areas again.
Science Fair General Prep
-
This is a 30 minute session where we work together to brainstorm a proposal/email for a local laboratory where the student can conduct their research. This session offers the development of either 1 proposal to a professor about a certain project that the student wants to pursue or 1 email to a professor/lab about working with them in the lab
-
We recognize that sometimes students may just want time to discuss their project, ideas and next steps with an experienced researcher and science fair alumnus. This is our most self-guided and open option where the student receives 40 minutes to ask any questions to us about their project or how to further improve their work.
-
This is an asynchronous session where a 250-400 word abstract is reviewed and a singular iteration of comments are made. Abstracts must be as succinct as possible especially with the 250 word limit given in most compeitions. We will help to make sure that every part of the project is demonstrated within that small space.
The turn-around time for this review is ~3-5 days from when the paper is sent
-
This is an asynchronous session where the research paper is reviewed and comments are made for improvement. This is for a singular iteration of comments to be made. The focus will be on creating a thorough paper up to the standards of peer-reviewed journal. If the student has a specific journal in mind, we can work to follow those guidelines. The turn-around time for this review is ~5-7 days from when the paper is sent
*Please note, listed price is for a paper of 10-20 pages. Each additional page of content (ie excluding the bibliography) is $10
For an additional fee of $50, the turn-around time can be guaranteed to under 72 hours.

This option involves an asynchronous session where the research paper is reviewed prior to a live 30 minute video meeting where we review the paper together with the student. By going over the paper with the student, we ensure that any errors in the paper are not repeated again. The turn-around time for the initial paper review is about 5-7 days from when the paper is sent in.

This is an asynchronous poster/slides review session where we evaluate the poster/slides and make comments for improvements. This is for a singular iteration of comments to be made. This review is centered around the traditional science fair judging session that involves a poster/slides presentation.
The turn-around time for the poster review is ~5-7 days from when the paper is sent in.

This is a synchronous 45 minute poster/slides review session where we evaluate the poster/slides and make comments for improvements. This is for a singular iteration of comments to be made. This review is centered around the traditional science fair judging session that involves a poster/slides presentation.
Comments are made in “real-time” with the student to help provide them with on-the-spot evaluation similar to what a judge would do during competition.
